The Portal Prophecies Volume I by C.A. King My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was the first book I've read in the fantasy genre and I enjoyed it a lot. The way C.A. King describes the mythical world in this book was amazing. It was like I was right there watching everything happen. Very well written and I recommend this book to all fantasy readers. Dread by Joy Yehle My rating: 4 of 5 stars I thoroughly enjoyed this book it is definitely a heart pounding page turner that was hard to put down, once the story got going. The author did a great job describing the characters made them seem real and easy to visualize. The descriptive imagery used in the suspenseful parts was well written and the helped move the story along quickly. The only issue I had with this book is at the end, I feel some of the story was left unexplained. View all my reviews

Maddox Files: Blurred Lines by R.J. Davies My rating: 5 of 5 stars Dice Maddox is all put together when it comes to investigating too bad she wasn't the samewith her love life. Juggling 2 men while conducting an investigation sounds like a handful. But Dice seems to handle it all just fine. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Addiction & Pestilence by E.M. Kelly My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book is very graphic and the story is very well written. Although, I'm not a fan of horror, I found this book hard to put down. Girl in the Mall by R. Jetleb My rating: 5 of 5 stars The Girl in the Mall takes us into the world of a teenage girl that becomes homeless due to circumstances beyond her control. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The way R. Jetleb tells the parts of the story from the perspective of 2 different characters is very interesting. Many teens end up homeless from situations that are beyond their control or they feel their home life is so bad that they stand a better chance living on the street. These teens may think there is nobody to turn to, no one who can help them, no one they can trust. This story opens one's eyes to this world and pulls you into it great book for both teens and adults. View all my reviews

The Haunting of Mount Cod by Nicky Stratton My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book is a fun cozy style mystery where a group of senior investigate a potential haunting of Mount Cod without professional intervention.
